Filter and expand selection by classification type
Select points by class
Chose the classification type to select using the Classification Type dropdown in the Options section, or the keybindings defined in the Reclassification Keybinds section. In this case, 'structure' is chosen.
Then select the area of interest.
Click Select by Class (F
) to remove all points from the selection that are not of the selected classification type.
In this case, only structure points are selected now.
Exclude points by class
For the opposite effect, select the area of interest and click Exclude by Class (⇧ + F
) to remove all points from the selection that are of the selected classification type.
In this case, all points except structure points are selected now.
Expand selection by class
Expand Selection (X
) is identical to the Proximity Selection mode, however it can be applied to multiple points at once.
First select point classes of interest. In this case, structure and conductor classes have been selected.
It is not recommended to use this action when dense or expansive classes such as ground are in the active selection. Doing so will impact performance.
Click Expand Selection (X
) to continuously selects more points of the same classification type(s) as the current selection.
The selection will continue until there are no more points to select within the configured radius of any selected point. Configure the radius in the Options section using Expand Selection Radius slider.
