Updated over 3 months ago

It is now possible to select an insulator within an assembly in the Perspective view and see information about this in the Properties panel instead of having to select the whole structure:

You must have the Selectable types option for Structures checked and the dropdown set to Component in order to be able to select the insulator in the Perspective view:

After selecting the insulator, you can view the insulator's information in the Properties panel.

You can use the linked text within Component Properties to view the attached:

  • Component in the Components Library

  • Assembly in the Assemblies Library

  • Structure, rather than the insulator, in the Perspective view and Properties panel

You can use the linked text within Insulator Properties to view the attached strain section, rather than the insulator, in the Perspective view and Properties panel.

You can manually update the positioning of the insulator relative to the assembly using the Offset section.

You can find more information about this functionality in the full article: Select and view insulator information.
