We are introducing a new Plan view, which offers a birds-eye perspective of your model and replaces the "old" Plan View, which has been renamed to Schematic View. In summary:
The new Plan View displays objects according to their true 3D geometry, identical to the Perspective View, just locked to a top-down isometric view.
The Schematic View (same as the old Plan View) is optimised to show simpler versions of objects, and to avoid occlusion, for example poles are circles and spans are always represented as single lines laid out horizontally so they do not overlap.
