Environments
The Environments column shows the list of Environments that can be applied to the pole.
Checking any box in the Environments column will plot the resultant pole forces of that environment in the Resultant Forces Graph.
In the case where the pole forces graphs are identical between environments, they will overlap each other perfectly and only the last selected environment will be visible.
Limit State of Pole
The Limit State of Pole column shows the limit state of the pole in each environment.
The presence of a coloured square shown next to each PASS
or FAIL
indicates what colour is used to represent the pole's resultant forces in the Resultant Forces Graph. No square shown indicates the corresponding environment is not plotted.
Ticking the pole name will display that pole's resultant forces which also have an environment ticked. For example, if the pole name is ticked and all the environments are ticked, then every environment will be plotted for the pole. If the pole name is un-ticked, then no pole resultant forces will be plotted.
Clicking on each of the limit states will display the pole's resultant forces of each corresponding environment.
Limit State of Stay
Limit State of Stay Column shows the limit state of the stays on pole, if any.
The presence of a coloured square shown next to each PASS or FAIL indicates what colour is used to plot the stay's resultant forces in the Graphical Resultant Forces section. No square shown indicates the corresponding environment is not plotted.
Ticking the stay name will display that stay's resultant forces which also have an environment ticked. For example, if the stay name is ticked and all the environments are ticked, then every environment will be plotted for the stay. If the stay name is un-ticked, then no stay resultant forces will be plotted.
Stay Editor
The Stay editor can be accessed in Overview Limit State Table tab by clicking on the Stay name in column 3.
The Stay editor is only shown if exactly one stay is ticked. It is there purely as a convenience to allow some stay properties to be edited within the tip load section when assessing tip load capacity of poles.
Stays can also be edited directly by clicking on them in the workspace.
