Some web browser Content Blockers / AdBlocker extensions can interfere with Neara app features

If you use an AdBlocker extension in your web browser, or on your network, you might some Neara app capabilities may not be available. Some web browsers also include built-in Content Blocking or Tracking Prevention features that may have a similar effect.

In most Content Blocker / AdBlocker / Tracking Prevention ("Content Blockers") you can whitelist just the Neara app to enable these capabilties, without disabling the Content Blockers from working on other websites.

This article describes the features that may be prevented from running if you have a Content Blockers active on the Neara app website. It also provides information on how to whitelist just the Neara app to restore access to those features.

Neara features limited by Content Blockers

We use a limited number of third-party services to provide information to you about the service, to assess the performance of the Neara Platform, and to process and respond to a help tickets or requests made by you.

Some third-party services that may be limited by Content Blockers include:

  • Automatic error logging that allows us to proactively investigate any technical issues that you may experience when using Neara

  • Analytics that help us understand how Neara features are used, to improve our product support and plan new features

  • In-app help and support: live and offline chat with our Customer Support team and recommended support articles from our Knowledge Base

  • In-app product announcements about new and improved features

How to whitelist the Neara app

In most Content Blockers, you can whitelist just the Neara app to allow these features to work, without disabling Content Blockers from working on other websites.

How you do this depends on your web browser, and the specific Content Blockers you use. Instructions for common Content Blockers are included below.

Google Chrome

By default, Google Chrome does not include built-in Content Blocking or Tracking Prevention features that limit Neara app capabilities.

Microsoft Edge

If you use Microsoft Edge, navigate to the Neara login screen for your region, and click the padlock icon in the web address bar:

To whitelist the Neara app, deselect the Tracking prevention for this site option.
