Updated this week

The Section Modulus takes account of the Second Moment of Area (measure of the stiffness of a object against bending. It is a geometrical property influenced by the object’s shape.) and divides this by the distance from the Neutral Axis to the object's outer surface from either side of the object's neutral axis.

The Section Modulus is used to calculate the Elastic Bending Moment Capacity.
