Project versions are created automatically during auto-saves, if changes are made to the design. You can also create new versions manually, and can revert to a previous version of a project.
โ
Communicate design changes by adding notes and tags such as the user name, reason, and the date a change was made to a version.
View the version history
In a project, select Project / Version History from the menu:
The Version history popup lists all versions of the design, the date and user that generated each version, and any notes:
Add a note to the currently loaded version
Select Project / Add note to this version from the menu:
On the dialog enter the note and click Submit:
โ
Open the version history again to see it:
If there were no changes to the project between when the version was created and when you added this note, this note will overwrite any existing notes for that version
Manually add a version
Project versions are created automatically during auto-saves, if changes are made to the design. You can manually trigger a new version as well:
Make a change to the project - for example, update the design
Select Project / Add note to this version
Add a note
Click Submit
This will add (or replace) a note to the current version, and then create a new version which is the set as the current version:
Restore a version
You can restore an earlier version of a project that you created, or is shared with you.
Select Project / Version History on the menu, locate the version you want to restore and click the Load version button in that row:
When loaded, these options will appear at the top of the screen:
Return to latest version: will load the last saved version of this design.
Make a copy: will make a copy of the currently being viewed version of the design.
Restore this version: will revert the whole design back to the version currently being viewed.
You cannot restore a previous version of a public snapshot shared with you
